‘Beautiful lover’
Let it go
‘Father’, ‘Mother’
No, no, no

Simply, ‘Friend’?
But when we disappoint each other
When you can’t count on me
What then?

Is better
Is forever

About this poem:

Many, many times, I end up with brother-sister as the best option for our roles for close relationships. Maybe you think it’s strange to have a lover that then becomes brother or sister. But, it’s a heck of a lot better option to allow yourselves to keep loving each other, than breaking it off acrimoniously. That brother-sister relationship implies more parity, and some distance, but also endurance and truly wishing for the best for your loved one, forever.

What do you think? Are ye with me or agin me on this one?
