Poem: Why else did I come?

Of course, I want
To take my shoes off
To dip my bare feet
In the cool water
And sit
Beside you
With you

..
Why else did I come
All this way
If not
To be here
My toes
Next to yours

About the poem:

I have no idea why I am driven to end up in various countries around the world, doing whatever. But I know when I have arrived! Just being, enjoying, savoring a moment alone or with someone. That’s it! That’s all I got! And if that’s all I do, I don’t think I will have any regrets.

Is there anyone or anything you’re starting to rush past today, that maybe you could slow down and enjoy?
