We were sweating and hot as we left the lily pond gardens, and were next headed to hike up the hill to see the fortress in Buyeo. We stopped for chilled buckwheat noodles in broth, which tasted much better than it sounds. Ingredients: icy broth with noodles, pear, cucumber, half of a hard boiled egg.
My nephew, Kev, also ordered the 3-year old fermented kimchi. It’s really tangy and tastes pretty good. So at lunch we had two types of kimchi, cold noodles and tuna kimbap, and were ready to head up the hill.
